Morocco : 195 new coronavirus cases, mainly in the Kenitra province

As of Monday, June 22, 195 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections to 10,172, Hind Ezzine from the epidemiology department said.

During the daily press briefing, she said that 82 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 8,366. The recovery rate is currently at 82.2%. No deaths have been recorded between yesterday and today. 

The death toll is at 214, with a fatality rate of 2.1%. Morocco has 1,592 active cases under treatment, she added.

104 confirmed cases were recovered in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, including 102 cases in the province of Kénitra and two cases in Sidi Slimane. In the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, 52 cases have been recorded : 27 cases in Tetouan, 10 in Tangier, 7 in Ouazzane, 5 in Al Fahs Anjra and one case in M'dieq. 

The Marrakech-Safi region recorded 21 cases : 15 in Marrakech and 6 in Safi. For Fès-Meknès, 12 cases were recorded in the city of Fès. In the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region, 4 cases were recorded at Fqih Bensaleh. Only one case was recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region and Laayoune.
