191 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 15,936.
651 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total of recovered patients to 12,934.
Five deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 255. Morocco currently has 2,747 active cases.
Marrakech-Safi has recorded 68 new infections (30 in Safi, 38 in Marrakech), followed by Fez-Meknes with 57 cases (52 in Fez, 4 in Taounate, 1 in El Hajeb). Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima recorded 37, (33 in Tangier, 3 in Chefchaouen, 1 in Tetouan) while the Oriental region recorded 20 new cases (16 in Jerada, 4 in Oujda).
Rabat-Salé-Kenitra has 7 cases (3 in Rabat, 2 in Sidi Kacem, 1 in Salé, 1 in Khemisset), Beni-Mellal-Khenifra has one case, as well as Souss-Massa, whose only new case is located in Agadir.
For the first time since the start of the pandemic in Morocco, on March 2, the Casablanca-Settat region has recorded 0 new cases during the last 24 hours. The same goes for the regions of Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab, Guelmim-Oued Noun, Laayoune-Es-Sakia El Hamra and Draa-Tafilalet.
