180 new coronavirus cases were recorded during the past 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 17,742.
257 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 15,389, with a recovery rate to 86.7 percent.
Four deaths were recorded, bringing the death toll to 280. The number of active cases in Morocco is 2,073.
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, with 72 new cases : 47 in Tangier, 24 in Tetouan and one in Ouazzane. Next comes the Casablanca-Settat region, with 45 cases : 20 in Casablanca, 18 in Mohammedia, 3 in Berrchid, 3 in Nouaceur and one in El Jadida.
19 new infections were recorded in Marrakech-Safi, with 13 in Marrakech, two in Safi, two in Kelaat Sraghna, one case in El Haouz and Rhamna.
In Fez-Meknes, 18 new cases were recorded : 15 in Fez, 2 in Meknes and one in Moulay Yacoub.
In the Oriental region, 7 new cases were recorded : 4 in Jerada, 2 in Nador and one in Oujda.
6 new cases were recorded in the region of Beni Mellal-Khenifra, including 4 in Khenifra and two in Beni Mellal. 5 cases in the Draa-Tafilalet region : 3 in Errachidia and two cases in Midelt.
Kenitra and Témara (Rabat-Salé-Kénitra) each recorded one infection, while two others were detected in the city of Laayoune (Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra) and two others in Inzegane (Souss-Massa).
A case was confirmed in Dakhla (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and another in Tan Tan (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
