1,565 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 50,812.
841 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 35,040.
41 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 858. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (10), Marrakech (9), Tanger (4), Errachidia (3), Ouarzazate (2), Fez (2), Taza (2), Inzegane (1), Larache (1), Figug (1), Fqih Bensaleh (1), Beni Mellal (1), Oujda (1), Nador (1), Taounate (1) and Essaouira (1).
The country now has 14,914 active cases under treatment (41.1 per 100,000 inhabitants on average). They are mainly located in Casablanca-Settat (5,069), Marrakech-Safi (2,810), Rabat-Salé (1,636), Fez-Meknès (1,429), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (1,114) and Beni Mellal-Khénifra (1,187).
The number of critically ill patients reached 186, including 30 on ventilators.
The Casablanca-Settat region has 405 new cases : 337 in Casablanca, 24 in El Jadida, 13 in Nouaceur, 8 in Berrechid, 7 in Mohammedia, 7 in Settat, 5 in Mediouna, 2 in Benslimane and 2 in Sidi Bennour.
Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 391 new cases : 289 in Marrakech, 73 in Al Haouz, 13 in Essaouira, 6 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 4 in Youssoufia, 3 in Safi, 2 in Chichaoua and 1 in Rhamna.
Fez-Meknes follows with 280 new infections : 85 in Fez, 70 in Taza, 56 in Sefrou, 31 in Meknes, 24 in El Hajeb, 9 in Boulmane, 3 in Ifrane and 2 in Taounate.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded, for its part, 129 new infections : 43 in Salé, 34 in Kénitra, 29 in Skhirat-Témara, 16 in Rabat, 4 in Khemisset, 2 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Sidi Slimane.
Beni Mellal-Khénifra, for its part, has 128 new cases : 50 in Beni Mellal, 35 in Khouribga, 23 in Khenifra, 12 in Fqih Bensaleh and 8 in Azilal. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 110 cases : 58 in Tangier, 16 in Al Hoceima, 15 in Tétouan, 11 in Chefchaouen, 6 M'diq-Fnideq and 4 in Larache.
There are also 40 cases recorded in the Souss-Massa region (34 in Agadir-Idda-Outanane, 3 in Taroudant, 2 in Inzegane-Ait-Melloul and 1 in Chtouka Ait Baha), 33 cases recorded in the Oriental (11 in Nador, 10 in Oujda-Angad, 8 in Guercif, 2 in Berkane, 1 in Figuig and 1 in Jerada) and 24 cases in Drâa-Tafilalet (23 in Ouarzazate and 1 in Zagora).
In the south of the kingdom, the region of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab has identified 16 new cases, all in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab. Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 6 (3 in Sidi Ifni, 2 in Tan Tan and 1 in Guelmim) while the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region recorded 3 cases, all in the province of Es-Smara.
