1,221 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 57,085.
1,315 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 41,901.
27 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 984. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (8), Marrakech (3), Fez (3), Tangier (2), Sefrou (2), Meknès (1), Chefchaouen (1), Tétouan (1), Chichaoua (1) , Agadir (1), Inzegane (1), Oujda (1), Beni Mellal (1) and Tinghir (1).
The country now has 14,173 active cases under treatment. They are mainly located they are mainly located in Casablanca-Settat (5,891), Marrakech-Safi, Rabat-Salé and Fez-Meknes. The number of critically ill patients reaches 183 cases, including 44 on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat region has 421 new cases : 306 in Casablanca, 39 in El Jadida, 28 in Mohammedia, 18 in Settat, 13 in Nouaceur, 11 in Berrechid, 4 in Mediouna and two cases in Benslimane.
Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 194 new cases : 126 in Marrakech, 34 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 18 in Chichaoua, 11 cases in the province of Rhamna and five cases in Youssoufia.
In Fez-Meknes, 178 new cases were recorded during the past 24 hours : 77 in Fez, 34 in Meknes, 25 in Taza, 13 in Ifrane, 8 cases in Taounate, 8 in Boulmane, 5 cases in El Hajeb, 4 cases in Moulay Yacoub and 4 others in Sefrou.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 100 new infections : 28 in Skhirat-Témara, 21 in Rabat, 14 in Salé, 14 in Sidi Kacem, 11 in Sidi Slimane, 9 cases in Kénitra and three cases in Khemisset.
83 cases were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima : 41 in Tanger-Asilah, 28 in Tétouan, 7 in M'diq-Fnideq, 5 in Larache and two cases in Al Hoceima.
Souss-Massa, for its part, recorded 71 cases : 52 in Agadir-Idda-Outanane, 16 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, one case in Tata, one case in Tiznit and one case in Chtouka Ait Baha.
There are also 66 cases recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (30 in Ouarzazate, 27 in Errachidia, 6 in Tinghir and three cases in Zagora), 49 in the Oriental (22 in Guercif, 19 in Oujda, 3 in Nador, two cases in Berkane, two in Taourirt and one case in Jerada) and 27 cases in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (13 in Beni Mellal, 11 in Azilal, two in Khouribga and one case in Khénifra).
In the southern provinces, 13 cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (8 in Tan Tan, 4 in Sidi Ifni and one case in Assa Zag), 13 in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab (all in Dakhla ) and 6 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (3 in Laâyoune, two cases in Es-Smara and one case in Tarfaya).
