Russia’s ambassador to Morocco Valerian Vladimirovich Shuvaev said Thursday that Morocco is interested in purchasing the Russian vaccine.

Interviewed by Russian news agency Sputnik, Shuvaev confirmed that Moroccan partners had «expressed their interest in being provided by the world’s first Covid-19 vaccine, created by Russian scientists».

Quoted by the same source, the diplomat indicated that Morocco was carrying out its own scientific research, but showed its willingness to cooperate with all foreign partners.

Valerian Vladimirovich Shuvaev stressed that Russia had submitted a proposal regarding its willingness to establish a production base and, in the future, to conduct joint research and clinical trials of said vaccine.

The Russian ambassador said the request was submitted to «all the countries of the world, including Morocco». «We assume that our proposal would receive positive feedback, because there are opportunities in this direction», the ambassador said.
