1,555 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 70,160.
1,446 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 53,929.
37 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,329. The country now has 14,902 active cases under treatment. The number of critically ill patients reached 189, including 34 on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat region comes first, with 462 new cases : 330 in Casablanca, 28 in Mohammedia, 27 in Berrechid, 23 in Settat, 19 in Nouaceur, 16 in El Jadida, 11 in Mediouna, 4 in Sidi Bennour and 4 in Benslimane.
Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 234 new cases : 197 in Marrakech, 20 in Youssoufia, 10 in Rhamna, 2 in Chichaoua, 2 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 1 in Safi, 1 in the province of El Haouz and 1 in Essaouira.
In Drâa-Tafilalet, 222 new cases were recorded : 83 in Errachidia, 73 in Zagora, 48 in Ouarzazate, 14 Midelt and 4 in Tinghir. 165 cases were recorded in Oued Ed-Dahab province (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region).
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 148 new infections : 59 in Salé, 43 in Rabat, 17 in Skhirat-Témara, 12 in Kénitra, 9 in Sidi Slimane, 5 in Sidi Slimane and 3 in Khemisset.
88 cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra : 21 in Azilal, 21 in Fqih Bensaleh, 18 in Béni Mellal, 18 in Khénifra and 10 in Khouribga. Fez-Meknes, for its part, recorded 80 new cases : 33 in Fez, 21 in Meknes, 15 in Ifrane, 5 in El Hajeb, 4 in Taza and 2 in Sefrou.
64 cases were confirmed in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (30 in Tanger-Asilah, 23 in Tétouan, 6 in Al Hoceima, 2 in Chefchaouen, 2 in Ouazzane and 1 in M'diq-Fnideq), 29 in Souss-Massa (20 in Agadir-Idda-Outanane, 4 in Chtouka Ait Baha, 3 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 2 in Taroudant) and 28 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (25 in Guelmim and 3 in Assa Zag).
The Oriental region recorded 26 cases (12 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Nador, 2 in Berkane, 2 in Taourirt, 2 in Guercif, 1 in Driouch and 1 in Jerada) while 9 new infections were recorded in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (6 in Laâyoune, 2 in Es-Smara and 1 in Boujdour).
