The Lope de Vega Spanish school, located in Nador, was closed for 14 days on Tuesday, in accordance with the protocol in force, after a second teacher tested positive for the new coronavirus.
According to Europa Press, which quotes sources at the Spanish embassy in Rabat, a Spanish teacher who works at said school tested positive for the coronavirus. Last week, a teacher from the same school was infected by the virus.
This situation led the facility, located 12 kilometers from Melilla, to close its doors on Tuesday, informing the parents of the students on Monday evening.
Europa Press recalls that the Lope de Vega Spanish school in Nador had already suspended classes on Wednesday, September 16 when the first infection was confirmed.
Classes then resumed on Monday, September 21, before being suspended again for 14 days.
The agency notes that this Spanish educational center has more than a thousand students, from kindergarten to high school, and welcomes Spanish and Moroccan students, with a program from the Spanish Ministry of Education, supplemented by a language program on history and Arab culture of Morocco.
