Morocco has become the second-largest African investor on the continent following a surge in direct investments over past two decades, IFC notes.
The final report of the Special Commission on the Development Model pays particular attention to Moroccans around the world, issuing a series of recommendations. It suggests encouraging investment in Moroccans living abroad and strengthening cultural and intangible links with this category of Moroccans.
For bankers, Morocco is in the need of implementing new reforms related to education and bureaucracy, before considering new currency liberalization.
