Blocked a few weeks ago by the decision of a Huelva court on a complaint related to their working conditions, Moroccan seasonal workers in Spain were again faced with another failed attempt to bring their alleged sexual assaulters to court.
The Spanish National Court and the Prosecutor’s Office have refused the requests made by the victims of the 2017 Barcelona attacks. Their lawyer alleges that the mastermind of the La Rambla attacks, a Moroccan imam called Abdelbaki Es Satty, had links with the Spanish intelligence services.
A Spanish court refused to reexamine one of the complaints filed by ten Moroccan women who used to work in Huelva. These seasonal workers were disappointed by the decision of the court, which refused their appeal.
