The Justice and Development Party (PJD) is going through a series of divisions, after its secretary general and head of government, Saadeddine El Othmani signed the joint declaration with the United States and Israel. Party officials say an extraordinary meeting of the National Council will be held to discuss the issue.
While it never stopped denouncing normalization with Israel, the PJD saw itself playing the leading role in this agreement. How will the signing of the agreement by Saadeddine El Othmani be perceived by members of the Islamist party ?
