Morocco’s business competitiveness is ranked third in Africa, according to the World Economic Forum’s recent edition of the Global Competitiveness Index. Morocco maintains the same performance as last year in a ranking that covers 141 economies.
According to the recent report of Greenpeace on SO2 emission hotspots, Morocco is among the top 25 SO2 emitter countries. The report spots three major SO2 emitters in Morocco, located in Mohammedia, Jorf Lasfar and Safi.
Morocco is among the most innovative country in North Africa and in the Arab World. However, the country is still making slow progress compared, moving from 76th to 74th in the index's global ranking.
Henley & Partners, a global citizenship and residence advisory firm, released this week its ranking of the world’s most powerful passports. The index ranks the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa.
Morocco is ranked as the most attractive country in Africa and in the MENA region by the EY’s Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index.
Morocco is one of the countries that were included in the 2019 edition of the Good Country Index, developed by British political advisor Simon Anholt. The Kingdom was ranked 77th out of 153 countries and 4th in the Arab World.
