Morocco is ranked 137th by the recently issued World Economic Forum report, the Global Gender Gap. Although the kingdom managed to better its positioning and score compared to last year, it remains one of the least performing countries in North Africa.
Morocco is among the top 10 countries with the best online shopping readiness in Africa, according to the UNCTAD B2C e-Commerce Index. The latter measures an economy’s preparedness to support online shopping.
Morocco is the second best-performing country, in the Climate Performance Index, ranking fifth. The policies and projects implemented by the Kingdom were welcomed by the report, conducted by GermanWatch, NewClimate and Climate Action Network.
Morocco is ranked 94th by the 2018 edition of the Global Knowledge Index. The latter is conducted by the United Nations Development Programme and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
According to the 2019 Global Climate Risk Index, Morocco loses annually $174.019 million because of climate risks. The country is ranked 124th among 180 countries studied by the report.
Ranked 103rd by the Prosperity Index, Morocco has fallen in the ranking conducted by the Legatum Institute.
Moroccan military is among the strongest military powers in North Africa, according to the Military Strength Ranking. The latter indicates that the Kingdom relies on a mix of old and new equipment and employs several hundred thousand active and reserve personnel on call.
Morocco is ranked 67th by the EF English Proficiency Index, a report that measures the average level of English language skills of adults in a certain country. According to the survey, the kingdom has a very low global trend compared to other neighboring countries.
