Morocco’s business competitiveness is ranked third in Africa, according to the World Economic Forum’s recent edition of the Global Competitiveness Index. Morocco maintains the same performance as last year in a ranking that covers 141 economies.
According to the World bank’s new report on global competitiveness, corruption and bureaucracy are the main problematic factors for doing business in Morocco. The survey ranks the Kingdom 71st in the world and first in North Africa.
For bankers, Morocco is in the need of implementing new reforms related to education and bureaucracy, before considering new currency liberalization.
