Morocco’s Government Council approved a draft decree on Thursday to establish the Benguerir Industrial Acceleration Zone (ZAI), marking a significant step in the country’s industrial expansion strategy.
The decree, No. 2.25.147, was presented by Industry and Trade Minister Ryad Mezzour and sets the stage for developing the zone in Oulad Hassoune Hamri, within the Rehamna province of the Marrakech-Safi region.
Government spokesperson Mustapha Baitas announced the decision at a press briefing following the Council meeting, emphasizing the zone’s role in enhancing Morocco’s industrial competitiveness and attracting investment.
