21.56.قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ الَّذِي فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا عَلَى ذَلِكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
21.56. – «Bien au contraire, répondit Abraham, votre Dieu est le Maître des Cieux et de la Terre ! C'est Lui qui les a créés et je suis de ceux qui peuvent en témoigner !»
21.56 . He said : Nay , but your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth , Who created them ; and I am of those who testify unto that .
21.56. Qala bal rabbukum rabbu alssamawati waal-ardi allathee fatarahunna waana AAala thalikum mina alshshahideena
21.57.وَتَاللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَامَكُم بَعْدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا مُدْبِرِينَ
21.57. «Par Dieu, se dit-il, je jouerai un mauvais tour à vos idoles, dès que vous aurez le dos tourné !»
21.57 . And , by Allah , I shall circumvent your idols after ye have gone away and turned your backs .
21.57. WataAllahi laakeedanna asnamakum baAAda an tuwalloo mudbireena
21.58.فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذاً إِلَّا كَبِيراً لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ
21.58. Et, effectivement, il les mit en pièces et n'épargna que la plus grande statue, pensant que les idolâtres s'en prendraient à elle.
21.58 . Then he reduced them to fragments , all save the chief of them , that haply they might have recourse to it .
21.58. FajaAAalahum juthathan illa kabeeran lahum laAAallahum ilayhi yarjiAAoona
21.59.قَالُوا مَن فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
21.59. «Qui a osé commettre ce sacrilège à l'encontre de nos dieux? Ce ne peut être qu'un criminel !», dirent-ils.
21.59 . They said : Who hath done this to our gods? Surely it must be some evil doer .
21.59. Qaloo man faAAala hatha bi-alihatina innahu lamina alththalimeena
21.60.قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا فَتًى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ
21.60. – «Nous avons entendu, dirent certains d'entre eux, un jeune homme médire de nos dieux , il s'appelle Abraham.»
21.60 . They said : We heard a youth make mention of them , who is called Abraham .
21.60. Qaloo samiAAna fatan yathkuruhum yuqalu lahu ibraheemu
