hi there j apprecie bcp l initiative de almoutanabbi je m exprime mieux en anglais, et un forum en anglais me sauverait vraiment la vie I think it s a good idea I m definetly in how about we start right away, in this subject let s say we pick a subject, discuss it in english as a test-forum, and we ll see. The webmaster can keep thinking about technical issues while we get strated so how about this for a start? funny things you see or experience while living in a foreign country
I heard that is gonna be tough in Morocco starting from 2005, we will face a real economic crisis! Do you know who/what was driving our country towards this critical situation?
P.S. Please, no more french. Arabic/berber no problem!

I'll be interested by your proposition, because, I'm must improve my english,

I'm so pleased to hear that many of you are ready to be a part of this forum, however, I do believe that if we have a corner created by the Webmaster, it would make more sense. But I also agree with findme, that there’s nothing stopping us from starting our discussions right now. The replies are very encouraging and the only reply missing is the one from the Webmaster. I hope he/she is reading our posts and also hope it won’t be long before we see one from them.
Finally, I like the subject from findme, (funny things you see or experience while living in a foreign country) For me, one of the things that seem to surprise me, is how little people know about Morocco. I was asked many times after I was introduced to people, is Morocco near Costa Rica? Or, Morocco is part of France, isn’t it? And that’s shocking to me. I have much more to write about funny things I experienced in foreign countries for later.
timila, merrakch walid.hamza, titi7605, Belle, mouta, rileinou, cali, issi, findme, shams78, be, La_Camélionne, tangawiya and webmaster, To all of you, take care.

I think personaly that it's to easy to speak in english because there is not lot of rules.and accentuation no exist but I've pblms with vocabulary... speak english have limits.
I compeletely agree with what Almot said, once I was asked if Morocco was the capital city of Mozambique and most of the time when I tell people that Morocco is in Africa they're like "then why arent you black?" weird isnt it? but what I see here in this strange country goes beyond false ideas about Morocco. Well first, upon my arrival here there was this strange fashion really going on, most of the teen girls had their faces painted black, and their lips with white some and yellow lipstick here are some pics [photojpn.org] I'll get back to you with more strange stories after I hear what you guys have to tell
just for the record, it s not a matter of "frime", some people and myself just find it easier to express ourselves in english rather than in french, I don't speak french as well as you guys do but I don't accuse you of trying to show off (frime) . All these languages are foreign to us and being able to express oneself in one of them has never been a matter of showing off. After all we are all Moroccans and trying to communicate. I am really proud of my compatriots who can speak languages better than me, at least I ll have something to learn by discussing matters with them. So take it easy guys, peace, we re just trying to find out what's best for our country here cheers
i'm not understand sorry! je pense que parlez anglais ds un forum frcs rique d'etre un px trop elitiste à mon avis. De plus ilme semblerai plus logique de commencer par "l'arabe" tout de mm!mais bon...
What in the name are those girls thinking? I like the Mozambique capital question because I had some like that. Very funny! You know, sometimes I just say yes, laugh, and leave, because it's just too much. Japan is known to be one country where the culture is just very very different then anywhere else, but I'm always reminded that these are the people who brought back there country from zero to one of the leading in the world. I'm going to look some more at that site, very funny/weird. seeya,
The country is really nice and very well put together but the people can be very ignoring of foreign cultures and that's a given how about where you live? why do you get that kind of geographically irrelevant questions? as I understood you are not in Europe are you?
I'm in the USA; where I always have hard times when I describe Americans as good people. I do not speak about Governments or policies, but people, normal street people; they are some of the best I’ve met . Where are you in Japan?
Here in Belgium or in the rest of Europe, Morocco is very well-known. There are so many people from Morocco, Tunesia, Turky... and the european are not astonished and know very well those countries and where they are situated. But i imagine that in the unites states of america is other thing.
I happen to be live in Osaka, and its people are really simple-minded, they would mostly stare at you in the train or the bus, sometimes they would just stop you, ask you where you from, and then go their way. They are actually perfect at making you feel as a strange creature, but no harm is done. now here is another weird thing: once I read in one of the polls at a japanese-english forum the famous sentence "dont touch me we're married!" and that resumes everything about how japanese couples or even mixed couples stop making love after they get married. How strange is that? does that exist in other countries? it is so much the exact opposite of how we were brought up to believe.
