3,498 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 167,148.
2,953 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 138,989.
46 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,772. 17 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 8 in Souss-Massa, 7 in the Oriental, 4 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in Fès-Meknès, 2 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 2 in Guelmim-Oued Noun, 1 in Marrakech-Safi and one death in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 25,341 active cases, including 546 in critical conditions. 55 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 1,723 cases: 1,259 in Casablanca, 121 in Nouaceur, 95 in Mediouna, 65 in Mohammedia, 61 in Settat, 56 in Berrechid, 48 in El Jadida, 16 in Benslimane and two cases in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kenitra with 425 new infections: 121 in Skhirat-Témara, 106 in Kénitra, 65 in Rabat, 50 in Salé, 45 in Sidi Slimane, 34 in Khemisset and 4 cases in Sidi Kacem.
The Oriental region follows with 371 new cases: 241 in Oujda-Angad, 97 in Nador, 24 in Berkane, 17 in Guercif, 14 in Jerada, 3 in Taourirt and two cases in Driouch. 217 new infections were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima: 75 in Tanger-Assilah, 51 in Tétouan, 25 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 20 in Larache, 14 in Chefchaouen, 7 in Ouazzane and one case in Fahs Anjra.
In Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 200 new cases were confirmed between yesterday and today: 61 in Fqih Bensaleh, 49 in Khouribga, 41 in Beni Mellal, 39 in Azilal and 10 cases in Khénifra. Souss-Massa recorded 174 new infections: 114 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 37 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 6 in Taroudant, 6 in Tata, 6 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and five cases in Tiznit .
Marrakech-Safi recorded 140 new cases: 105 in Marrakech, 7 in Youssoufia, 7 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 7 in Chichaoua, 7 in Rhamna, 4 in Essaouira and 3 cases in the province of Al Haouz.
108 cases were confirmed in Drâa-Tafilalet (53 in Errachidia, 21 in Ouarzazate, 15 in Tinghir, 13 in Midelt and 6 cases in Zagora) and 60 in Fès-Meknes (15 in Fès, 12 in Ifrane, 12 in Meknes, 8 in Taza, 7 in Sefrou, 4 in El Hajeb, one case in Boulmane and another in Taounate).
In the southern provinces, 43 new cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (26 in Guelmim, 10 in Sidi Ifni, 4 in Assa Zag and 3 in Tan Tan), 30 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (26 in Laâyoune, 3 in Es-Smara and one case in Tarfaya) and 9 infections in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
