Sevilla FC is angered by the decision of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. The Spanish club is annoyed that Atlas Lions’ manager Vahid Halilhodzic summoned international player Youssef En-Nesyri despite his injury.

According to Be Soccer, the Moroccan striker was one of three players injured after the Spanish club's game against Osasuna. The striker, who was hit in the shoulder, «had to join Morocco despite the opposition of Sevilla».

The same source indicates that the Spanish club has officially asked the Moroccan Federation to let En-Nesyri recover during these two weeks. The Moroccan body would have «ignored» this request, which angered the club. To Sevilla FC, «the physical condition of the striker is worrying».

Last week, Vahid Halilhodzic unveiled his list of players selected to play the two matches against the Central African team as part of qualifiers of the Africa Cup of Nations 2021 (CAN).

In addition to Youssef En-Nesyri, the Atlas Lions coach has summoned goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, also playing for Sevilla FC.
