More than 40 Libyan lawmakers, representing the Tobruk-based parliament, will travel to Morocco on Sunday for talks on a possible reunification of the House of Representatives.

According to local newspaper Libyan Express, «the MPs will meet in the city of Tangier, on the invitation of the Moroccan parliament».

Saleh Fahima a legislator in the rival parliament in eastern Libya, as well as Belkhair al-Shi'aab, who is part of the House of Representatives based in Tripoli, confirmed this trip, adding that this meeting would be «a preliminary consultative session before holding a unified session in one of the Libyan cities, most likely Gadamis».

It is worth mentioning that representatives of the Libyan High Council of State (West) and the Parliament of Tobruk (East) met in September and October in Bouznika, Morocco.

Morocco then welcomed, a few weeks later, the two main actors the Libyan crisis, namely Khaled Al Mechri, president of the Libyan High Council of State as well as Aguila Saleh, president of the Parliament of Tobruk.
