The song «Palante» composed by Morocco's Hajar Sbihi, aka ASHA, came third at the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, held on Sunday in Warsaw, the Spanish public television company announced.

Performed by nine-year-old Spanish competitor Solea Fernandez, «Palante» is an urban pop piece with a flamenco touch offering an encouraging message to the world in a time of crisis.

Born and raised in Morocco, Sbihi was selected at 12 to participate in the interpretation of the song «Bokra» (tomorrow), a call to promote freedom, peace, tolerance, hope, brotherhood and love. The song was produced by Quincy Jones, in collaboration with Red One.

After finishing higher education in Spain, Sbihi decided to settle down in the Iberian country and devote herself to music.

Last June, the 23-year-old released her first single which scored more than a million views on Youtube in one month.

The 18th Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in Warsaw, Poland. 11-year-old Valentina representing France has won the contest with an incredible performance of the song «J'imagine» (I imagine).
