Covid-19 : 2,329 new cases in Morocco, 3,192 recoveries and 40 deaths in 24 hours

2,329 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 428,193.

3,192 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 391,920.

40 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,170. 13 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 7 in Fès-Meknès, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 5 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 3 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in Souss-Massa and 2 in the Oriental region.

The country has 29,103 active cases, including 1,224 in critical conditions. 107 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 952 infections: 725 in Casablanca, 68 in Mohammedia, 37 in Nouaceur, 27 in Berrechid, 26 in El Jadida, 25 in Settat, 22 in Mediouna, 17 in Benslimane and 5 in Sidi Bennour. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 326 new cases: 172 in Tanger-Assilah, 41 in Tétouan, 40 in Al Hoceima, 33 in M'diq-Fnideq, 30 in Larache, 6 in Chefchaouen and 4 in Ouazzane.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 297 cases: 114 in Skhirat-Témara, 71 in Salé, 45 in Rabat, 35 in Kénitra, 28 in Khemisset, 3 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Sidi Slimane. 192 new infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 69 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 37 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 33 in Taroudant, 33 in Tiznit, 16 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 4 in Tata.

Marrakech-Safi recorded 155 cases: 92 in Marrakech, 16 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 10 in Chichaoua, 10 in Safi, 9 in Essaouira, 9 in Al Haouz and 9 in the province of Rhamna. The Oriental region recorded 109 infections: 34 in Nador, 27 in Oujda-Angad, 26 in Berkane, 12 in Driouch, 8 in Jerada, 1 in Figuig and 1 in Taourirt.

95 confirmed cases were recorded in Fès-Meknes (42 in Fès, 15 in Taza, 14 in Meknes, 14 in Taounate, 7 in Sefrou and 3 in Moulay Yacoub), 68 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (23 in Azilal, 16 in Beni Mellal, 12 in Fqih Bensaleh, 11 in Khénifra and 6 in Khouribga) as well as 59 in Drâa-Tafilalet (27 in Errachidia, 12 in Zagora, 9 in Ouarzazate, 9 in Tinghir and 2 in Midelt ).

36 cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (14 in Guelmim, 12 in Tan Tan, 8 in Assa Zag and 2 in Sidi Ifni) 36 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (31 in Laâyoune, 3 in Boujdour and 2 in Tarfaya) and 4 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
