1,246 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 461,390.
900 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 436,626.
34 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,011. 13 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 5 in the Oriental region, 3 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 3 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 2 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 2 in Souss-Massa, 2 in Fès-Meknes, 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet, 1 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 16,753 active cases, including 865 in critical conditions. 63 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 544 infections: 417 in Casablanca, 50 in El Jadida, 29 in Nouaceur, 27 in Mohammedia, 9 in Settat, 8 in Berrechid, 3 in Benslimane and 1 in Mediouna. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 262 new cases: 71 in Tanger-Assilah, 58 in Larache, 55 in Al Hoceima, 34 in Tétouan, 23 in Chefchaouen, 16 in M'diq-Fnideq and 5 in Ouazzane.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 114 cases: 40 in Kénitra, 30 in Salé, 21 in Skhirat-Témara, 14 in Rabat, 6 in Sidi Kacem, 2 in Sidi Slimane and 1 in Khemisset. 79 new infections were confirmed in the Oriental region: 37 in Oujda-Angad, 20 in Berkane, 16 in Nador, 5 in Taourirt and 1 in Jerada.
Souss-Massa recorded 70 cases: 24 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 23 in Tiznit, 10 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 8 in Taroudant and 5 in Tata. Marrakech-Safi recorded 61 infections: 46 in Marrakech, 6 in Safi, 3 in Youssoufia, 3 in Chichaoua and 3 in Kelaa des Sraghna.
33 confirmed cases were recorded in Fès-Meknes (22 in Fès, 7 in Meknes, 2 in Taza, 1 in Sefrou and 1 in Ifrane), 33 in Drâa-Tafilalet (18 in Errachidia, 6 in Midelt , 6 in Ouarzazate and 3 in Zagora) 20 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (18 in Laâyoune and 2 in Boujdour).
12 infections were confirmed in Guelmim-Oued Noun (11 in Guelmim and 1 in Sidi Ifni), 12 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (6 in Khouribga, 4 in Fqih Bensaleh, 1 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Khénifra) and 6 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
