Covid-19 : 756 new infections and 17 deaths Thursday in Morocco

756 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 469,139.

895 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 447,076.

17 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,224. 6 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 3 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 2 in Fès-Meknès, 1 in Draâ-Tafilalet, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 1 in Rabat- Salé-Kénitra and 1 in Souss-Massa.

The country has 13,839 active cases, including 759 in critical conditions. 65 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 292 infections: 213 in Casablanca, 32 in Nouaceur, 18 in Mohammedia, 13 in El Jadida, 8 in Berrechid, 4 in Mediouna, 2 in Settat, 1 in Sidi Bennour and 1 in Benslimane. Then comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 127 new cases: 50 in Tanger-Assilah, 34 in Tétouan, 20 in Al Hoceima, 8 in M'diq-Fnideq, 8 in Larache, 5 in Ouazzane and 2 Chefchaouen.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 122 cases: 39 in Kénitra, 34 in Salé, 27 in Skhirat-Témara, 9 in Sidi Kacem, 6 in Rabat, 4 in Khemisset and 3 in Sidi Slimane. 67 new infections were confirmed in the Oriental region: 29 in Nador, 16 in Oujda-Angad, 9 in Berkane, 9 in Taourirt, 3 in Driouch and 1 in Guercif.

Souss-Massa recorded 48 cases: 28 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 8 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 6 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 3 in Taroudant, 2 in Tata and 1 in Tiznit. Marrakech-Safi recorded 30 infections: 20 in Marrakech, 8 in Essaouira, 1 in Safi and 1 in the province of Al Haouz.

17 confirmed cases in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (6 in Fqih Bensaleh, 5 in Khouribga, 4 in Khénifra and 2 in Beni Mellal), 15 in Drâa-Tafilalet (10 in Errachidia, 3 in Ouarzazate and 2 in Tinghir) and 13 in Fès-Meknes (6 in Fès, 4 in Meknes, 1 in Taza, 1 in Sefrou and 1 in Ifrane).

In the southern provinces, 12 infections were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (11 in Laâyoune and 1 in Boujdour), 10 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 3 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (2 in Sidi Ifni and 1 in Guelmim).
