On this occasion, the two leaders have expressed their common determination to carry out, as soon as possible, the strategic projects between the two countries, particularly the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline and the creation of a fertilizer production plant in Nigeria.

For the record, energy sector of actors within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) proposed in December during a meeting in Abuja to continue discussions with the promoters of the NMGP for the detailed study of a unique gas pipeline project in West Africa.

Muhammadu Buhari thanked «for the support of the Kingdom in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism, in particular through the training of Nigerian Imams at the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Mourchidines and Mourchidates».
