281 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 471,438. 200,081 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.
892 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 450,052.
12 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,287. 6 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 1 in the Oriental region, 1 in Fès-Meknès, 1 in Marrakech-Safi and 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The country has 13,099 active cases, including 744 in critical conditions. 52 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 74 infections: 53 in Casablanca, 9 in El Jadida, 7 in Nouaceur, 3 in Berrechid and 2 in Mohammedia. Then comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 63 new cases: 27 in Al Hoceima, 22 in Tanger-Assilah, 11 in Larache and 3 in M'diq-Fnideq.
The Oriental region follows with 47 cases: 35 in Oujda-Angad, 8 in Nador, 3 in Driouch and 1 in Taourirt. 28 new infections were confirmed in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 13 in Salé, 7 in Rabat, 3 in Skhirat-Témara, 2 in Kénitra, 2 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Khemisset.
Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 24 cases, all in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab, while Souss-Massa, recorded 22 infections : 12 in Agadir-Ida-Ou- Tanane, 5 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 2 in Taroudant, 2 in Chtouka Ait Baha and 1 in Tata.
10 confirmed cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (6 in Beni Mellal and 4 in Khénifra), 6 in Fès-Meknes (3 in Fès, 2 in Meknes and 1 in Sefrou) and 4 in the city of Marrakech (Marrakech-Safi).
2 infections were recorded in Boujdour (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra) while one case was confirmed in Errachidia (Drâa-Tafilalet).
