508 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 486,833. 4,017,087people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 717,113 people have received the second.
664 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 473,208.
16 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,695. 4 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 2 in the Oriental region, 2 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 2 in Fès-Meknes, 1 in Marrakech-Safi and 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima.
The country has 4,930 active cases, including 414 in critical conditions. 21 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 358 infections: 286 in Casablanca, 23 in Nouaceur, 16 in Mohammedia, 13 in Berrechid, 11 in Settat, 5 in Benslimane, 3 in Mediouna and 1 in El Jadida. Next comes the Oriental region with 33 cases: 18 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Nador, 3 in Jerada, 3 in Driouch, 2 in Taourirt and 1 in Berkane.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 33 cases: 14 in Skhirat-Témara, 8 in Salé, 5 in Rabat, 5 in Kénitra and 1 in Sidi Kacem. 29 infections were confirmed in Marrakech-Safi: 25 in Marrakech and 4 in Safi.
Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima recorded 23 cases: 15 in Tangier-Assilah, 4 in Al Hoceima and 4 in Larache. Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 9 infections: 6 in Midelt and 3 in Errachidia.
7 cases were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (3 in Laâyoune and 4 in Es-Smara), 5 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (2 in Khouribga and 2 in Beni Mellal).
Fès-Meknes confirmed 4 new cases (2 in Fez and 2 in Meknes) and Souss-Massa recorded 3 (2 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 1 in Tiznit).
