511 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 493,353. 4,289,281 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 3,071,117 people have received the second.
467 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 481,074.
2 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,788. They were registered in the Casablanca-Settat region.
The country has 3,491 active cases, including 412 in critical conditions. 24 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 353 infections: 271 in Casablanca, 26 in Nouaceur, 19 in Mohammedia, 16 in El Jadida, 14 in Berrechid, 5 in Mediouna, 1 in Settat and 1 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 50 cases: 26 in Salé, 8 in Skhirat-Témara, 7 in Rabat, 6 in Kénitra, 2 in Khemisset and 1 in Sidi Slimane.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima follows with 26 cases: 16 in Tanger-Assilah, 7 in Larache, 2 in Chefchaouen and 1 in Al Hoceima. 22 infections were recorded in the Oriental region: 14 in Oujda-Angad, 4 in Nador, 2 in Guercif, 1 in Berkane and 1 in Taourirt.
Marrakech-Safi confirmed 21 new cases: 13 in Marrakech, 4 in the province of Al Haouz, 2 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 1 in Essaouira and 1 in Safi. Souss-Massa recorded 17 new infections: 6 in Tiznit, 5 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 3 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 2 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 1 in Taroudant.
6 cases were recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), 5 in Fès-Meknes (2 in Fès, 2 in Taza and 1 in Sefrou) and 4 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (3 in Laâyoune and 1 in Es-Smara).
Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 3 new infections (2 in Fqih Bensaleh and 1 in Khouribga), 2 cases in Drâa-Tafilalet (1 in Errachidia and 1 in Tinghir) and 2 infections in Guelmim-Oued Noun (1 in Sidi Ifni and 1 in Assa Zag).
