676 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 496,097. 4,320,349 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 3,674,251 people have received the second.
198 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 483,363.
5 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,818. 3 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The country has 3,916 active cases, including 411 in critical conditions. 27 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 488 infections: 388 in Casablanca, 24 in Settat, 20 in Nouaceur, 18 in Mohammedia, 16 in Berrechid, 10 in El Jadida and 4 in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 51: 20 in Salé, 12 in Skhirat-Témara, 9 in Kénitra, 7 in Rabat, 2 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Khemisset.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 36 cases: 22 in Marrakech, 5 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 4 in Essaouira, 4 in the province of Al Haouz and 1 in the province of Rhamna. 19 infections were recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
The Oriental region recorded 19 new cases: 9 in Oujda-Angad, 9 in Nador and 1 in Berkane. Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 15 new infections: 13 in Tangier-Assilah and 2 in Larache.
14 cases were recorded in Souss-Massa (5 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 4 in Tata, 3 in Tiznit and 2 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul), 12 in Drâa-Tafilalet (6 in Errachidia, 5 in Tinghir and 1 in Zagora) as well as 7 cases in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (5 in Laâyoune and 2 in Es-Smara).
6 cases were confirmed in Guelmim (Guelmim-Oued Noun), 6 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (5 in Khouribga and 1 in Khénifra) and 3 in Fès-Meknès (2 in Fès and 1 in Taza).
