Covid-19 in Morocco : 175 new infections and 9 deaths on Monday

175 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 502,277. 4,486,628 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,148,610 people have received the second.

271 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 488,632.

9 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,909. 3 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 2 in the Oriental, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet and 1 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra.

The country has 4,736 active cases, including 424 in critical conditions. 18 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 112 infections: 98 in Casablanca, 10 in Nouaceur, 2 in Settat, 1 in El Jadida and 1 in Mohammedia. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 26 cases: 10 in Kénitra, 7 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 3 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Sidi Slimane.

Marrakech-Safi follows with 15 cases: 12 in Marrakech, 2 in Essaouira and 1 in Youssoufia. 5 infections were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima: 3 in Tétouan, 1 in Tanger-Assilah and 1 in Al Hoceima.

Souss-Massa confirmed 4 cases: 2 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 1 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 4 new infections recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab.

There are also 3 confirmed infections in Fès-Meknes (1 Fès, 1 in Meknes and 1 in Moulay Yacoub), 2 in Nador (Oriental) as well as 2 in Khouribga (Beni-Mellal-Khénifra).

A case was confirmed in Midelt (Drâa-Tafilalet) and 1 case in Tarfaya (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra).
