684 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 502,961. 4,495,477 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,155,395 people have received the second.
656 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 489,288.
6 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,915. 3 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and 1 in Fès-Meknes.
The country has 4,758 active cases, including 446 in critical conditions. 16 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 534 infections: 350 in Casablanca, 63 in Mohammedia, 53 in Nouaceur, 18 in Settat, 18 in El Jadida, 16 in Berrechid, 10 in Benslimane and 6 in Mediouna. Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 31 cases: 29 in Marrakech, 1 in Chichaoua and 1 in Essaouira.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 31 cases: 16 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Kénitra, 4 in Rabat, 2 in Salé and 2 in Sidi Kacem. 18 infections were recorded in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra: 15 in Laâyoune and 3 in Tarfaya.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 15 new infections: 10 in Tanger-Assilah, 3 in Tetouan, 1 in M'diq-Fnideq and 1 in Larache. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 13 cases, all in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab.
13 cases were confirmed in Guelmim-Oued Noun (7 in Guelmim, 3 in Sidi Ifni, 2 in Assa Zag and 1 in Tan Tan), 12 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (4 in Khouribga, 4 in Fqih Bensaleh, 3 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Azilal) and 7 in the Oriental region (5 in Oujda-Angad and 2 in Nador).
Souss-Massa recorded 7 new infections (2 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 2 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 1 in Taroudant, 1 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Tiznit) 4 in Drâa-Tafilalet (2 in Errachidia, 1 in Ouarzazate and 1 in Tinghir) and 1 case in Fès (Fès-Meknes).
