Covid-19 in Morocco : 720 new infections and 7 deaths on Tuesday

720 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 506,669. 4,684,557 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,193,888 people have received the second.

625 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 492,725.

7 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,959. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Laâyoune-Es Sakia-El Hamra, 1 in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in the Oriental and 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet.

The country has 4,985 active cases, including 376 in critical conditions. 53 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 544 cases: 404 in Casablanca, 45 in Nouaceur, 35 in Berrechid, 27 in Mohammedia, 21 in El Jadida, 7 in Settat, 4 in Médiouna and 1 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 71 cases: 28 in Sale, 21 in Kénitra, 11 in Skhirat-Témara, 6 in Rabat, 2 in Sidi Kacem, 2 in Sidi Slimane and 1 in Khemisset.

Marrakech-Safi follows with 32 cases: 27 in Marrakech, 3 in Youssoufia, 1 in Chichaoua and 1 in Kelâa des Sraghna. 19 infections were recorded in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, all in Oued Ed-Dahab. Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra confirmed 17:12 in Laâyoune and 5 in Boujdour.

Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 10 new infections: 9 in Tangier-Assilah and 1 in Tetouan L'Oriental region recorded 8 cases: 4 in Nador, 2 in Oujda-Angad and 2 in Driouch. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 5 cases: 2 in Khénifra, 1 in Khouribga, 1 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Azilal.

Souss-Massa recorded 8 new cases: 4 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 2 in Taroudant, 1 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane and 1 in Tiznit. Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 3 cases in Tinghir. Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 2 in Guelmim. Finally, Fès-Meknes confirmed 1 in Fez.
