Covid-19 in Morocco : 242 new infections and 6 deaths on Tuesday

242 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 514,164. 5,903,593 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,414,056 people have received the second.

258 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 501,404.

6 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,083. 3 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 1 in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Marrakech-Safi and 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet.

The country has 3,677 active cases, including 225 in critical conditions. 13 of them are on ventilators.

The region of Casablanca-Settat leads with 162 cases: 124 in Casablanca, 13 in Berrechid, 11 in Nouaceur, 9 in Mohammedia, 3 in El Jadida and 2 in Médiouna. Marrakech-Safi follows with 26 cases: 20 in Marrakech, 3 in Safi, 2 in Youssoufia and 1 in Al Haouz.

Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 21 cases: 11 in Sale, 7 in Rabat, 1 in Skhirat-Témara, 1 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Kénitra. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 8: 7 in Khouribga and 1 in Azilal. Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 6 cases, all in Tangier-Assilah.

Souss-Massa identified 5 cases: 2 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, 2 in Inezgane-Aït Melloul and 1 in Tiznit. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 5 cases in Laâyoune. The Oriental has 5 infections in Driouch. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab identified 2 cases in Oued Ed-Dahab.

Drâa-Tafilalet identified 1 case in Ouarzazate and Guelmim-Oued Noun 1 case in Tan Tan. Finally, Fès-Meknès remains the only region which has not recorded any new cases during the past 24 hours.
