Meteor Airlines won the Prize for Best Artistic Practice in the Mediterranean Region at the CREACT4MED Best Practices Award ceremony in Barcelona, Spain. In the nomination and final selection process over the past 10 months, the band's innovative fusion of traditional Amazigh music with contemporary rock (Amazigh Rock) captivated audiences. According to the organizers, it has created a lasting impact on the cultural landscape both nationally and internationally.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries from across the Mediterranean region. Rachid Ennassiri, manager of Meteor Airlines, commented on the nomination. «Our journey has always been about bridging cultural gaps, addressing cultural erosion and disconnection through our disruptive Amazigh rock and celebrating our rich Moroccan Amazigh heritage. This recognition inspires us to continue pushing boundaries and using our art to drive positive change», he said.
Rym Ayadi, Director of CREACT4MED, President and Founder of the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA), stated, «Winning one of the Best Practices Awards highlights their significant contribution as cultural representatives and innovators, and establishes their growing brand in musical practices in the region».

Since 2016, the band has been captivating a growing fanbase, thanks to their pioneering Amazigh rock sound, inspired at once by Moroccan ancestral heritage, culture, history, as well as universal values and themes.
Supported by the European Union, CReative Entrepreneurs ACTing FOR the future MEDiterranean (CREACT4MED) is a project designed to strengthen the cultural and creative industries in the Mediterranean region.
