The Morocco-US military exercise «Arcane Thunder 24» concluded on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Southern Zone General Staff in Agadir.
This exercise took place from August 5 to 14, 2024, in Agadir, Guelmim, Cap Draa, and Tan Tan.
This is the second edition of the «Arcane Thunder» exercise, and it was held in Morocco for the first time, with the participation of around 300 personnel.
Featuring both an academic training phase and an execution phase, «Arcane Thunder 24» included land, air, and sea maneuvers focusing on electronic warfare and cybersecurity.
The closing ceremony was attended by Major General Mohammed Benlouali, Chief of Staff of the Southern Zone, and Major General John Rafferty, Commanding General of the US Army's 56th Artillery Command. The event showcased several cutting-edge technologies, including aerial and maritime drones and high-altitude balloons.
«Arcane Thunder 24» is a precision-based synchronization exercise in electronic warfare. It aims to enhance military capabilities and strengthen cooperation, understanding, and coordination between Morocco's FAR and the US military in addressing common challenges.
This exercise highlights the long-standing partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America.
