Severe weather alert : Thunderstorms and hail Saturday and Sunday in Morocco

The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) has issued a severe weather alert for several Moroccan provinces on Saturday and Sunday.

Thundershowers, accompanied by hail and gusty winds, are expected to affect the provinces of Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Oued Ed-Dahab, and Aousserd from 8:30 PM on Saturday to 6:00 AM on Sunday. Rainfall in these areas is forecast to reach between 30 and 50 mm.

An orange alert has been issued for the provinces of Tata, Tinghir, Zagora, Figuig, Errachidia, Taroudant, Guelmim, Ouarzazate, and Tiznit on Saturday from 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Rainfall in these areas is expected to be between 15 and 30 mm.
