The Director General of National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, made a working visit to Belgium on Thursday. This trip aimed to strengthen the mechanisms of joint cooperation in various areas related to security and intelligence work, according to a statement from the DGSN-DGST Pole.

The Director General held working sessions with the Commissioner General of the Belgian Federal Police, Eric Snoek. The discussions between the two parties focused on examining security challenges and threats posed by terrorist groups and organized crime networks in many regions of the world, particularly in the Sahel and Sahara, the Middle East, and Europe.

Abdellatif Hammouchi and Eric Snoek signed a joint action plan, including a bilateral action program for 2025-2026, to consolidate cooperation in the fight against organized crime and terrorism, coordinate efforts aimed at processing data related to border transit, pursue individuals wanted internationally, and cooperate in the fight against money laundering and terrorist threats targeting sporting events.

As a reminder, the General Administrator of the Belgian State Security, Francisca Bostyn, held talks with Abdellatif Hammouchi on November 25 in Rabat.
