In a significant twist in the high-profile case involving a French lawyer's allegations of being drugged and raped by four influential figures, Mohamed Amine Naguib, the fiancé of the complainant, has been detained. He was placed in Ain Sebaa local prison, known as «Oukacha», on Friday, as investigations continue into the complaint lodged against him by the defense lawyer representing the accused.

Mohamed Amine Naguib, engaged to the French lawyer who has accused Kamil Bennis, Mhamed Alj, Saad Slaoui, and Ahmed Daghbour of rape, was apprehended at Casablanca's Mohammed V Airport. His arrest stems from suspicions of breaching the confidentiality of the ongoing investigation. Naguib, a notable figure within the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), was detained upon his return from Paris.

According to sources cited by Hespress, the arrest was triggered by the leak of a voice note. This recording allegedly captures a conversation between Naguib and a third party, revealing details about discussions with the investigating judge at the Casablanca Court of Appeal. The note also mentions Naguib's withdrawal of a previous complaint for assault and battery on December 5.

Further charges loom over Naguib, as the voice note reportedly contains derogatory remarks aimed at one of the defense lawyers, as well as accusations of obstructing judicial proceedings. These developments add complexity to a case that has already seen the investigating judge deny the defense's request for the accused to be released pending trial. The defense had presented numerous witnesses claiming no rape occurred, while the plaintiff has firmly dismissed any suggestions of consensual relations.

The incident traces back to a party on November 2, 2024, at the residence of Kamil Bennis, whose family is prominent in the pharmaceutical industry. The accused also include Mhamed Alj, son of the Moroccan employers' federation president, Saad Slaoui, an entrepreneur based in London, and Ahmed Daghbour, a municipal councilor.
