Many Moroccans took to the streets to celebrate following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, marking the end of 16 months of continuous Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. The news sparked jubilant gatherings in several cities, including Rabat, Casablanca, Kenitra, Oujda, Tangier, Tetouan, Agadir, Fnideq, and M'Diq.

In these cities, citizens gathered in squares and streets, chanting slogans that praised the Palestinian resistance and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people. The demonstrators also voiced their opposition to normalization with Israel and condemned what they see as international complicity in the crimes of the Israeli occupation.

Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani announced the ceasefire agreement yesterday evening. The deal includes a prisoner swap between the Palestinian resistance and Israel in the Gaza Strip. Sheikh Mohammed called for calm in the region until the agreement's implementation begins on Sunday, January 19.

The prolonged Israeli aggression has resulted in thousands of deaths, injuries, and maimings, along with extensive destruction of infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
