In response to the «serious and repeated violations» occurring at the minors' shelter in Tangier's Beni Diban neighborhood, the organization «Touhce pas a mon enfant» has sounded the alarm. The shelter is reportedly plagued by «attempts to infiltrate strangers and expose inmates to serious danger», prompting the organization to express grave concern over the threats to the safety and security of underage girls housed within.

The organization has issued an urgent appeal to authorities, urging immediate intervention. They recommend deploying qualified security guards, installing state-of-the-art surveillance cameras, and conducting regular security patrols around the facility to ensure its safety. Furthermore, they advocate for strict penalties against anyone attempting to infiltrate or pose a threat to the female inmates.

Additionally, «Matkich Weldi» is calling for a reform of the legal framework to enhance the protection of minors in shelters. They emphasize the need for psychological and social support for both the inmates and the staff managing these institutions, aiming to foster a safe and stable environment.

Despite these challenges, the organization commends the efforts of those dedicated to child protection. They underscore the importance of collaboration between the state and civil society, particularly with the Ministry of Family and Solidarity, to ensure effective safeguarding of this vulnerable group. The organization insists that sustainable reforms in the social welfare system are essential to protect minors and provide them with the necessary rehabilitation for a dignified life.
