The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, expressed their excitement about the upcoming high-level meeting in Morocco this fall.
In a statement released by the Quai d'Orsay on Tuesday after their talks in Paris, the two ministers «celebrated the unprecedented dynamism in the Franco-Moroccan bilateral relationship», noting that «a new chapter» has been opened, as highlighted during the meeting between the French president and King Mohammed VI in October 2024.
The two ministers also reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening, preserving, and defending the «enhanced exceptional partnership» that was launched during President Emmanuel Macron's state visit to Morocco at the invitation of the King.
The statement went on to say that the ministers «reviewed the progress of this partnership across all areas and agreed to continue deepening it, particularly through numerous reciprocal visits and the ongoing implementation of the agreements signed during that visit».
