During his inaugural training session with the Moroccan national team on Monday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, Neil El Aynaoui expressed his delight, stating how «very happy» he is to finally be part of the squad. Since last August, the French-Moroccan player has made his allegiance clear regarding his international career, choosing Morocco over France. He shared his excitement about joining the national team in his remarks to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). The 24-year-old midfielder commended the «excellent» reception he received, which has fueled his eagerness to «get to work».

«It's an immense pride to join the squad», declared the AS Roma player, who was recently called up for the first time by coach Walid Regragui as part of preparations for the upcoming African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. «We've been in contact for a while. The coach has always offered me valuable advice, and I'm very pleased to be here today», Neil El Aynaoui revealed.

«I'm here to contribute to the team. I've heard about the incredible atmosphere surrounding the squad and can't wait to experience the passion of the Moroccan fans», he added.

Driven to collaborate with his teammates and coach, the former Lens player is particularly impressed by the training environment and facilities at the Mohammed VI Complex. «I had seen videos, but witnessing it firsthand is truly impressive. I've never experienced a center like this in my career. Everything is in place for us to perform at our best», he remarked.
