A 31-year-old Moroccan man living in San Pietro in Gu died early Tuesday, September 9, in a car accident in Piazzola sul Brenta, northern Italy.

The Audi A3 he was traveling in went off the road around 4:30 a.m. and caught fire. The driver, a 39-year-old Moroccan resident of Carmignano di Brenta, was rescued with non-life-threatening injuries and taken to Cittadella Hospital.

Local authorities have seized the vehicle and opened an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, Italian media reported.
