DRC triumphs over Benin 1-0 in AFCON 2025 opener in Rabat

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) claimed victory against Benin (1-0) on the first matchday of Group D in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025), held on Tuesday at Al Madina Stadium in Rabat.

The only goal of the match was scored by Theo Bongonda in the 16th minute.
