Police in the Ain Sebaa–Hay Mohammedi district in Casablanca arrested a sub-Saharan African national on the evening of Monday, March 2, on suspicion of possessing and dealing hashish and «Pouffa», a psychotropic substance.

The arrest followed extensive field investigations after security services monitored the suspect’s alleged drug trafficking activities in an old cemetery in the Hay Mohammedi area. The case gained further attention after a video widely circulated on social media, prompting efforts to identify and apprehend the individual involved.

During a search carried out at the time of his arrest, police seized several quantities of hashish and Pouffa, along with multiple mobile phones and a sum of money believed to be proceeds from the illegal activity.

The suspect has been placed in police custody pending further investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, with the aim of clarifying the circumstances of the case and identifying any potential accomplices.
