PJD praises Spain's refusal to support US military action against Iran

The General Secretariat of the PJD «warmly applauded», in a statement, the Spanish government’s refusal to allow the United States military to use the Rota and Morón bases in what it described as a «Zionist-American attack against Iran», as well as the broader repercussions of what it called an illegal war on the region.

The Islamist party hailed what it described as a «model stance that should serve as an example for all countries, organizations, and international bodies», arguing that such a position reinforces respect for international law, legitimate resolutions, and global institutions.

The PJD’s General Secretariat also praised a stance that «clearly breaks with the use of force and its unlawful application outside the framework of legitimate international institutions».

Meanwhile, the party’s leader stated on Saturday that «Iran remains an Islamic state confronting our natural enemy: Israel».

Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles announced on Monday, March 30, that Spain had closed its airspace to aircraft involved in the war in Iran.
