Wydad of Casablanca board announces resignation ahead of general assembly

The board of directors of Wydad Casablanca has announced its resignation, effective at the upcoming ordinary elective general assembly.

In a statement shared on WAC's social media platforms, the board explained that this decision is made «in respect of the responsibilities and commitments» it upholds.

Concurrently, the club has opened membership registration for the 2026-2027 sports season, running from May 5 to June 5, 2026, in line with the club's current statutes and regulations.

The board also announced that candidacy submissions for the club presidency will be accepted from June 5 to June 20, 2026, in preparation for the elective general assembly.

The statement underscores that these steps are part of a strategy to ensure a «smooth» transition and maintain the club's stability.
