Former Director General of Morocco’s National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE), Ali Fassi Fihri, passed away on Sunday at the age of 71 following a long illness, his family announced.
Born in Kenitra, the late Ali Fassi Fihri held several high-profile positions throughout his career, including president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) from 2009 to 2013, chairman of the supervisory board of MASEN, and chairman of the board of directors of LafargeHolcim Morocco.
Following the announcement of his passing, current FRMF president Fouzi Lekjaa extended his «deepest condolences and most sincere expressions of sympathy» to the family of the deceased and to the wider Moroccan football community.
Ali Fassi Fihri was also a member of several national and international institutions.
