Ayyoub Bouaddi officially cleared to represent Morocco
DR

Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced on Friday that Morocco has officially secured the sporting nationality switch of Ayyoub Bouaddi. The announcement came after the FRMF received a decision from FIFA’s Players’ Status Chamber, dated May 15, 2026, approving the federation’s request concerning the LOSC Lille midfielder.

In a statement, the FRMF confirmed that the decision makes Bouaddi immediately eligible to represent Morocco in international competitions.

Born in Creil and developed at Lille, Bouaddi represented France at youth level, earning 10 caps with the under-21 side, before opting to play for Morocco. Despite his young age, the midfielder has already made 96 senior appearances for Lille, further cementing his status as one of the most promising talents of his generation.

With the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico approaching, Bouaddi could now be in contention for a place in Morocco’s squad traveling to the United States next month.
