The International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) has officially authorized FC Barcelona striker Munir El Haddadi to play with the Atlas Lions, reports Le Matin.
A FIFA spokesman confirmed to the daily newspaper the decision of the players status committe induring the international forum. «The request made by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation concerning the change of federation has been accepted by the players status committee the , assures a source. The player is therefore entitled to represent the national team of Morocco starting from the 7th of June 2017».
Munir El Haddadi could therefore be summoned for the next Atlas Lions outing, scheduled for September the 1st at the Grand Stadium in Marrakech. The national team will face Mali for the third day of the third round of the World Cup qualifiers.
